Factions are special interest groups of Player Characters (PCs) and important Non-player Characters (NPCs) who seek to move the world of Årth in a given direction or accomplish sweeping long-term goals. Each PC is free to choose a faction they believe they would fit in and has similar goals.
Faction Advancement
As PC members of factions complete adventures, they earn renown points for completing tasks aligning with their faction’s goals. As PCs earn renown and complete missions, they are promoted through the ranks of their factions, earning greater authority and benefits. If a character leaves one faction for another, they will lose all benefits and renown points and will start over as the first rank in the new faction.
